The Blues

Sooner the pupils must learn to play in different styles of music. Without a band there's many ways to do for : recorded playback and songs. This exercise is essential for tempo, sound, measures cycles, groove, and exploring their own musical sensibility.
The blues is quickly played to feel ternary music. These musics are based on 3 equals subdivisions in one beat ; hrer played on the hi-hat, written with triplets, the other way to do is using compound measure such as 12/8. This difficulty in written and reading ternary rhythms makes later the approach in pupil learning process. Instead of a real natural and organic feel. The blues is generally played in a cycle of 12 measures.
Below some patterns to play by heart : 2 basics, 4 variations (snare drum or bass drum) and two fills (ashort one and a long one).
